Future Plan

In today's world, the importance of statistics is increasing in the formulation of public and private plans and in the adoption, implementation and evaluation of development projects. The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were finalized in 2000 based on various indicators. The importance of statistics in evaluating the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has increased significantly. To this end, a ‘New Data Revolution’ has been called for and emphasis has been placed on increasing cooperation for the development of the overall statistics system. At present Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) is working to implement these plans. BBS is also engaged in compiling statistics consistent with all national, regional and international roadmaps including Perspective Plan 2010-2021, 7th Five Year Plan 2018-2020, Vision 2021, Vision 2041, Delta Plan.
